TGIFF - Planview Quilt

Welcome to Thank Goodness It's Finished Friday.  TGIFF is the opportunity to share your finish from this week.  You can find out who is hosting each week by heading over to the TGIFF blog.

Have you thought about hosting TGIFF?  You can sign up to host here.

Did you sew along with Yvonne @ Quilting Jetgirl for her Planview Quilt Along?  I love QALs because it keeps me on track (in theory 😉) to finish a project, and it's fun to sew along with friends.

I made the baby size (40 x 48 inches).  I used Kona White (background), Lemon, Chartreuse, Clover, Breakers, and Mediterranean.

My house is still in repair mode, so I don't know when I'll be able to get this quilted.  Which is okay because I have no ideas on how I want to quilt it.  As always, your suggestions are welcome.

It's time to link up your finishes from this week.  I encourage you to visit a few of the links ups to get some inspiration and to share some quilty love.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

2022 Monthly Colour Challenge - May Block

Have you been sewing along with Jen @ Patterns by Jen  for the 2022 Monthly Color Challenge?

There is the option to make 6-inch or 12-inch blocks.  Jen also gives the option to use the same background fabric for all the blocks.

May is light and dark blue.  I used Kona Harbour and Storm.

The first step is flying geese units.  I mark my fabrics with a Hera marker.  You can mark two blocks at a time.

The pattern gives instructions on how to make four HSTs at a time.

Eight flying geese units in no time.

Add some side and corner triangles, and you have a finished block.

Jen does offer a second version of the block that does not use side or corner triangles.
