WIP Wednesday - Meadow Mystery QAL

Cheryl @ Meadow Mist Designs is hosting another mystery QAL -- Meadow Mystery.  It's not too late to join in on the fun.  We've only just begun piecing.

The first piecing steps were HST's and four blocks.  I love that how Cheryl has broken down the sewing into manageable monthly steps.  It definitely keeps you in suspense as to the final design.

I thought I'd play around and lay out the blocks in various designs.

This reminds me of the CBC logo.

This is different, but interesting.

Now to wait for October's instructions.

  2. I love your colours, Anja. But, don't I say that every time I leave a comment? I had to giggle when I looked at your second layout (the one with the small red square in the centre)... it reminds me of the old CBC logo (not the same colours, but...)

I'm looking forward to the next steps.

Thank you for linking-up to The Needle and Thread Network's WIP Wednesday!

  3. I really like your orange and blue together, Anja. They just glow. :)

And not too late to change (my) mind on the fabric and re-cut! After seeing this month's instructions, I know I won't be 100% happy with what I had tried (2 tone colors in fabrics B, C, and D), so I'm just putting the cut pieces in my scrap bin and picking out new fabrics. There is definitely time for me to catch up and others to join!

  7. I still have to catch up on this one. I love the different settings you played around with especially the CBC logo. You are right that it looks like that.

  8. This looks awesome! I am behind and have only drawn my diagonal lines on all of my squares. Hoping that I can get through them tonight and tomorrow. :)
