Finishing at 72 x 88 inches, it was a bit difficult to get good photos. I had to run home at lunch to catch some daylight. I wonder what responses I'll get if I advertise: looking for man to hold quilts. LOL
Kona Pepper for the background, and Aurifil variegated thread #4659.
Free-motion stars and loops. I debated doing a bit of custom quilting, something different in the squares, but who am I kidding...I'm all about the easy, quick finish.
The Aurifil worked well in my Pfaff Grand Quilter (loaded on a frame to operate like a longarm), but I didn't find any big difference from the Connecting Threads cotton thread that I use. Since Aurifil is $12 a spool and not easily found here in Nova Scotia, I'll only be using it occasionally for special projects.

Some of my stars are a little wonky, but I think they add character to the quilt.

Be picky in your advert - tall man with extra long arms required to hold quilt. Ladder supplied if necessary . Like yourself aurufil is hard to get here and expensive . I bought some but fir hand quilting , grr . Love your quilt , especially your stamp of orange !
