I played along with the Just the Basics QAL hosted by Leanne @ Devoted Quilter.
You can read more about my quilt here.
The low-volume print doesn't actually read as white. I find it a bit busy.
Because there was a lot going on, I decided to do a simple loop FMQ in white thread. The quilting doesn't show up very well, but it does have texture.
This quilt will go in my stash until I find it's permanent home.

I really like the combination of fabrics! All of the fabrics pop, in their own way. Awesome work!!
ReplyDeleteIt really is delightful. Hope it doesn't stay in your stash too long! Love the texture your quilting has given this ... lovely finish.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you found the draft and shared the finish with us, and I know Leanne is going to be so thrilled to see your version of her pattern too! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this! Absolutely lovely! So glad you were able to share this finish. 😊
ReplyDeleteI would never think to team pink, yellow, black and white together, but I really like the combination.
ReplyDeleteWe have all lost posts in our drafts folder while waiting for sunshine and photos!
It made me smile to see this pop up in the links :) The white print is busy, but the print is small enough that it doesn't feel overpowering. Hopefully you'll find a home for it soon :)
ReplyDeleteA lovely quilt! This post makes me think I should take a look at my drafts folder, wonder what might be lurking there.
ReplyDeleteI like it a lot. The background color cause the yellow to pop almost giving the yellow a three dimensional/holographic look. You should be quite pleased with it.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great Anja. I think the yellow really emphasises the diamond shape.
ReplyDeleteBetter late than never and I'm always ready to give an atta-girl for a finish! I wish I had more of them! I really like how it looks 3-D. The diamonds grab your attention first but then I saw the stars as well. Fun quilt!
ReplyDeleteI love the movement in this quilt. Great quilting choice.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the lovely finish, Anja! Isn't that funny you finished her up and settled her into your stash and forgot about her? She would make a wonderful cozy Christmas gift!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! That 3D look is pretty cool. I can see why this one is going into your stash for a while...maybe the permanent collection?
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Anja! The quilt looks great. And your FMQ is great from what I could see in the yellow. Congrats on the finish :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you got it finished Anja . Way too nice to hide away in the drafts folder!
ReplyDeleteWhat great looking quilt! Love that you hold on to your quilt until you find it the perfect home.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous
