Hand Pieced QAL

Patty @ Elm Street Quilts is co-hosting Hand Pieced QAL with Kristin @ Simple Handmade Everyday.

The first block was announced on Monday -- a 4-patch.  I watched the videos and jumped right in.

And then there was a 16-patch!  The pieces were 2-inches unfinished, for an unfinished 6.5-inch block.

Look at my beautifully spun seams on the back.  😊  I am surprised at how much I enjoyed piecing this block.

I'm using Kona White and Michael Miller Hash Dot in Red, Rose, Orange, Yellow, Meadow, Aqua, Marine, Periwinkle, and Blue.

  6. Great block! Is this your first time hand piecing? I tried some a long time ago (19 years?) and didn't enjoy it, but I'm thinking now is a good time to try again!

  8. Wow! Hand piecing is not my thing although I have tried. Just can't get the stitches small enough to hold. Your block looks perfect! So glad you're having fun with this. Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
