TGIFF - Redwood Tote

I've been procrastinating making some bag bag patterns I purchased from Noodlehead a year ago.  Last month, I finally started making the Redwood Tote while at a sewing weekend with my Q-Squared bee.  I decided to use a navy waxed canvas for the exterior.

I read and re-read the directions and then sewed slowly.  Once you sew through waxed canvas, there is no unstitching if you make a mistake.

There was a delay with finishing because I didn't have the right sized zipper, but Dena came to my rescue.

I can't wait to test it out.  I think it may be a bit too tall for my liking, so there may be some slight alterations for the next version.

I purchased these awesome handmade zipper pulls at QuiltCon Austin.

It's almost too pretty to use.  LOL

  2. What a great looking bag, Anja! If you don't like the height of the bag, you can always just mail it to me. I'd be happy to take it off your hands!

  3. Looks great! Are you perhaps vertically challenged like me and that is why you don't like the height?
