TGIFF - Medallion Magic

This is another UFO I finished over the Christmas break.  This was a QAL from 2019 hosted by Leanne @ Devoted Quilter using her Medallion Magic pattern.

finished the quilt top back in August 2019, but I didn't have a quilting plan.

I went for an all-over free motion quilting motif -- loops using Gold thread by Connecting Threads.

I used Kona Nightfall for the background and Kona Royal, Tangerine, Torch, Orange, School Bus, and Tiger Lily for the piecing.

As usual, Hobbs Heirloom Premium 80/20 batting is my go-to batting.

  1. Beautiful!! Look at you getting to all your UFOs! I’ve been meaning to ask you: how do you find the Connecting Threads thread for quilting? I order quite a bit of my wide-backs from them, but have never tried their thread.

  3. Love this quilt ! Where do you get your determination to dig out your old projects and finish them? I find that when I look them over, I just keep over looking them, and cut out something new that holds my interest.

  5. This one really glows Anja! The colour palette is perfect! Did you buy these fabrics together to intentionally make this quilt or did you have them in your stash? Whichever way it came about., it wonderful!
