ALYOF - August Goal

I recently started to keep a calendar of blog posts to be created to keep me me on track with drafting and posting.  There were a few months that I missed the goal-setting for A Lovely Year of Finishes.  It's not like the hosts don't give enough time (seven days) to post your goal for the month....

I have been wanting to make a Plus quilt for some time.  I keep seeing Adrienne @ Chezzetcook Modern Quilts make them, so I figured it was time to try it.

I won a Denyse Schmidt fat quarter bundle at a MMQG meeting.  I added some Kona to the mix:  School Bus, Curry, Cappuccino, Pistachio, Baby Blue, and Raffia.



Chain piecing is the way to go.





My goal for August is to piece and quilt this Plus quilt.

    Scratching off a few more Konas from that list huh? This looks great...the solids will really pop!

    Gotta love a Plus quilt! And I couldn't help but notice that you sneaked a little School Bus in there. :)

    I've been thinking, should I add another FAL to those that are in this 3rd quarter already for Adrienne?! I see your plus quilt and it reminds me that I, too, won a fat quarter bundle, with which I thought I should make a plus quilt...Love those florals!
