TGIFF - Déjà Vu Night Sky

Two weeks ago, I shared my yellow Night Sky wall hanging.  I liked it so much, I made another one...this one in purple.

Same quilting as the first one -- I wanted more practice with dot-to-dot quilting.  This projects features the following Kona colours:  Purple, Heliotrope, Lilac, Wisteria, and Black.

This is a Year of the Stash project -- all fabrics were in my stash, except a little bit of Kona Heliotrope that I "borrowed" from Jenn @ A Quarter Inch from the Edge.

This wall hanging is en route to its forever home.  A little gift to say thank you to a friend.

And another photo just because.

  4. I love the purple with the black, very striking! And, once again, you did great with the quilting! It doesn't surprise me you borrowed a bit of Kona from Jenn, she is the Kona Queen! :)

  6. Ooh, that purple is just gorgeous Anja! Makes me think of the little violets?? (I do not know what they are in the woods here, but we don't have these darling and vibrant little purple flowers in Alberta) anyhow, your gradation of purples is stellar. Hey, that dot to dot is lookin' great, too. Makes me want to jump into my Gravity quilt soooo bad.

  11. Your purple quilt colors really pop! And next to the yellow daffodils, it is fantastic! I'm finding that the dot-to-dot quilting technique just isn't working for me. Maybe I'm too impatient. LOL, I also can't make a straight line. You are doing so much better! Whether you're practicing or you're a quick learner, you've definitely found some quilting mojo for this technique.
