WIP Wednesday

I've been slowly making progress with my WIPs.

Once again, I tested a paper pieced pattern for Andrea @ 3rd Story WorkshopYou can find Andrea's patterns here.  Dancing Narwhal (with a Beluga option) is her latest creation.  I haven't quilted this yet as I am unsure what to do with this 16-inch block.  I'm considering a wall hanging or a pillow.

Here's a close up of the Beluga.

I finished my quilt for the Splash of Colour QAL hosted by Myra Busy Hands Quilts.  The pattern is free on Craftsy.  How the hard part...deciding on a quilting plan.

And I finally finished my blocks for the Wayward Transparency QAL hosted by Yvonne @ Quilting Jetgirl.  Kona Ice Frappe, Kale, and Spruce.  Now to get these blocks pieced together.

  3. The Dancing Narwhal is gorgeous. The navy print background fabric is perfect. A wall hanging would be nice for it. Wow, the Wayward Transparency is also beautiful. The Splash of Color quilt is also beautiful. I am also deciding on quilting for mine. How about cross-hatching?

  5. Oh, that Beluga! Sings to my heart. It reminds of the old Baby Beluga song from my son's childhood. :)

  6. Love the Beluga. I just might have to get the pattern, my daughter loves narwhals as much as she loves unicorns :)

  8. What a lot of progress! The beluga made me think of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Granted, that was a sperm whale but I think close enough. Have an excellent weekend.

  12. You’ve been busy! I really like your splash of colour quilt and can’t wait to see how you decide to finish it. I still have to piece my Wayward Transparency blocks too! Hope to get that done sometime this week.

  13. The Beluga is a beauty. I see you added your signature touch to Myra's design. Looks like there is a lot going on in your studio. I wish you all the sewing time you need to finish your goals.
