Here is my list of 5 posts:
Most Views - My Star Quilts for my little friends in South Africa received the most page views in 2017, with 1,459 views. I think these were my favourite finishes of 2017.
Second Most Views - I don't pay attention to blog stats, so was surprised that the post with the second most views (1,350) was my Modern HST Sampler. It was a fun quilt along, but I didn't think the quilt was a show stopper, but clearly it was well received.
Pattern Testing - I had fun testing several patterns in 2017: Wind Farm, Squared Off, Gemstones, Beluga Whale, Star Blossom, and Faith, Hope, and Love.
Clothing - I made a few tops, a dress for myself, and a Geranium dress for my new niece.
Best Adventure - The best quilting adventure of 2017 was a 5-hour drive to Calais, Maine, to buy $2/yard fabric with quilting friend Dena.
I wonder what quilting adventures are in store for 2018. Yvonne @ Quilting Jetgirl is hosting a 2018 Planning Party. I didn't finish all the projects on my list this year, so I will continue to work on them. Unfortunately, my sewing room did not stay organized -- Must. Stop. Buying Fabric. ha ha ha
My goals/hopes/plans are to:
- Organize all my fabric into one space (rather than the three spaces right now.....)
- Continue to sew projects that make me happy
- Continue to have fun

Your list reminds me of my 'keep in mind' sewing goals: Stay organized and have fun as often as possible! My sewing supplies have a habit of reaching out to other areas of the house as well! Lol. Hope you have a Happy New Year! Looking forward to following your sewing adventures throughout the year! 😊

ReplyDeleteYou included some lovely finishes Anja, I love your gemstones and beluga whale pattern testing quilts, you have such a good eye for colour. Great goals, I think they strike a chord with many of us, my stash is a mess and I am always disorganised, but enjoying quilting and having fun is why we do this. Wishing you many more successes and quilty adventures in 2018 and thank you for always being so helpful and sharing. You made me feel so welcome when I started blogging and I never forgot you for it.
ReplyDeleteI love your goals for 2018! I’m trying to get my stash organized (at least my stash is organized by colour), but my bins don’t allow me to really see what I have so I find myself buying stuff I already have! The thing is getting everything organized isn’t as much fun as actually sewing!

ReplyDeleteGreat goals. I will follow the last two, but I will have to skip the first. My craft stuff would not all fit in the one space even if I tried to organise it. I have a craft room AND the wardobe of the neighbouring spare bedroom, where the less frequently used stuff lives (e.g. mosaic tile snips).
Keep it happy, Anja! That's good advice for anyone to follow for the new year. I'm with you on finishing up some lingering projects yet before making a lot of new plans, and that will make me very happy. Wishing you a year filled with joyful sewing adventures!
