TGIFF - Diamond Run Pattern Testing

Another quilt crossed off the list!!  Although this quilt was on my PHD in 2020 list, the photo was blurred because the pattern had not yet been released.  Diamond Run is a pattern I tested for Jen @ Patterns by Jen.  Diamond Run was released in February.

This will be my third quilt for the Hands2Help quilt drive hosted by Sarah @ Confessions of a Fabric Addict.  I made the smallest size, which finishes around 40 inches square.

In my effort to finish up quilt tops, I did a quick all-over stipple in yellow thread.

My list of unfinished quilt tops may (or may not) total 20 quilts.  😲  But I'm slowly making progress as I quilted another one today.

The photos above were taken on my deck because my lawn was so overgrown...didn't realize it would be so difficult to find someone to mow the lawn.  But then someone came this afternoon, and my lawn now looks beautiful (minus the brown bits and weeds LOL).

WIP Wednesday - Push-Pull Quilt Along

The first block for the Push-Pull Quilt Along was a lot of work...but then blocks two and three were much easier.  You can see the beginnings of this quilt and the many tiny HSTs here.

This is a great pattern by Yvonne @ Quilting Jetgirl.  I love my combination of Kona Red, Morning Glory, and Surf.

I started to realize there was going to be a lot of negative space in this quilt that would need quilting.  😲

And here's the finished (wrinkly) quilt top.

Now to figure out a quilting plan.  Until then, this quilt top will join the many others waiting to be quilted.

Book Club QAL

I've been sewing along with  Patty @ Elm Street Quilts and Kristin @ Simple Handmade Everyday
for the Book Club QAL.

This is the final block.  I thought hand piecing curves would be difficult, but it easy.

Here are all nine blocks in the order they were pieced.  Adding the sashing is up next.

Now I need to start thinking about how I'm going to quilt this.  But who am I kidding...this poor quilt top will be added to the ever-growing pile of UFOs.  I don't need a plan any time soon.  😂

Hands2Help Comfort Quilt No. 2

This is my second quilt for the Hands2Help quilt drive hosted by Sarah @ Confessions of a Fabric Addict.

This quilt was made from the blocks for the 2019 Monthly Color Challenge hosted by Jen @ Patterns by Jen.  If you want to sew along this year, here's the link for the 2020 Monthly Color Challenge.

I quilted an all-over stipple in white thread, which blended in with most of the fabrics.

Now to start making progress on some other UFOs.  😉  This is one of the projects on my PHD in 2020 list.

WIP Wednesday - Centred QAL

Have you been sewing along with Sandra @ Musings of a Menopausal Melon for her Centred QAL?  The blocks are easy to piece, so there's still lots of of time to join in.

I choose Island Batik fabrics, and I love how the blocks are coming together.

These are Block A (four) and Block B (four).

Here are Block A2 (two) and Block A3 (two).  Blocks B2 and B3 will be released this Friday.

We'll have a month to piece our blocks before the final link up on June 15.  I need to start thinking about a backing and a quilting plan.

Hands2Help Comfort Quilt

Sarah @ Confessions of a Fabric Addict hosts an annual quilt drive for various charities -- Hands2Help.
You can read more about it here.

I rescued a quilt top from a friend.  She received the blocks as part of an online bee, but she was not happy with the top.  I've now quilted it, and it will be donated in the name of Hands2Help.

I quilted two quilts at the same time.  I had a piece of wide-back that would not have not been wide enough if I had cut it into two pieces.  So I thought I'd try two at a time.  I think this might be my new solution to get some UFOs finished.

Pattern Testing - Criss Cross

Sherry @ Powered by Quilting released a new pattern today -- Criss Cross.  I was one of the pattern testers.  I thought I'd make a Christmas version with my snowflake background.  Luckily I was able to use my Bloc Loc rulers to trim the HSTs.

The pattern consists of two different blocks.

Make sure to place your colours in the right order when constructing the blocks.  😉

I made the baby size, which is 48 inches square.

Make sure to visit Sherry's blog this week -- the pattern is currently on sale.
