There's just one more week for the Stay at Home Round Robin (SAHRR) hosted by Gail @ Quilting Gail.
Round 5 was chosen by Gail @ Quilting Gail -- quilter's choice using 4. The possibilities are endless - - 4 blocks, a 4-patch block, 4 colours.
I added a 4-inch finished Kona Nightfall border.
This is now measures 49.5 inches.
I realized on the last round that my border was a bit wavy despite my efforts to carefully measure to ensure I was adding the right length of border. I took extra time for this round as well, but I still ended up with a wavy border. I don't like unstitching, so I'm going to continue on and hope for the best.
Schedule:
- January 15 - Centre block - hosted by Gail @ Quilting Gail
- January 22 - 1st Round - hosted by Wendy @ Pieceful Thoughts of My Quilting Life
- January 29 - 2nd Round - hosted by Anja @ Anja Quilts
- February 5 - 3rd Round - hosted by Emily @ The Darling Dogwood
- February 12 - 4th Round - hosted by Brenda @ Songbird Designs
- February 19 - 5th Round - hosted by Gail @ Quilting Gail
- February 26 - 6th Round - hosted by Kathleen @ Kathleen McMusing
- March 18 - Quilt/Quilt Top Parade - hosted by Gail @ Quilting Gail
Now that is clever! I didn't even think about using 4 in the width of the border! Always fun to see your quilt each week; I like the colors and the design!
ReplyDeletePerfect!
ReplyDeleteA 4" border is a perfect answer to the prompt! I love it. I am sure that waviness will quilt out nicely.
ReplyDeleteOh, smart to think of 4" as another option. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteYou have me literally laughing out loud!!! Clever you, to think of a 4" border!!! Hopefully the waves disappear with the next round! If not, you can ease the waves when you quilt! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat response to the prompt. The border sets off the rest of the top so well.
