Same quilting as the first one -- I wanted more practice with dot-to-dot quilting. This projects features the following Kona colours: Purple, Heliotrope, Lilac, Wisteria, and Black.
This is a Year of the Stash project -- all fabrics were in my stash, except a little bit of Kona Heliotrope that I "borrowed" from Jenn @ A Quarter Inch from the Edge.
This wall hanging is en route to its forever home. A little gift to say thank you to a friend.
And another photo just because.

So...I love this in purple too! Dang, you have hit your stride! This is really pretty, the purples are so vibrant against the black!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finish! And so pretty with the daffodils! Don't you just love 'borrowing' fabric from friends!

ReplyDeleteI love the purple with the black, very striking! And, once again, you did great with the quilting! It doesn't surprise me you borrowed a bit of Kona from Jenn, she is the Kona Queen! :)
ReplyDeleteVery lovely! The black background is perfect, it makes the purples sing!
ReplyDeleteOoh, that purple is just gorgeous Anja! Makes me think of the little violets?? (I do not know what they are in the woods here, but we don't have these darling and vibrant little purple flowers in Alberta) anyhow, your gradation of purples is stellar. Hey, that dot to dot is lookin' great, too. Makes me want to jump into my Gravity quilt soooo bad.
ReplyDeleteThat dark ackground really let's those fabrics sing! This is such a wonderful gift for your friend. Great job!
ReplyDeleteUmm......background, not ackground!
DeleteJust as nice as the yellow . In fact I prefer this one though it's a close call
ReplyDeleteMmm, I love purple! Great value play, Anja, and the quilting accents the design beautifully!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, love the purple. Your dot to dot is great.
ReplyDeleteYour purple quilt colors really pop! And next to the yellow daffodils, it is fantastic! I'm finding that the dot-to-dot quilting technique just isn't working for me. Maybe I'm too impatient. LOL, I also can't make a straight line. You are doing so much better! Whether you're practicing or you're a quick learner, you've definitely found some quilting mojo for this technique.
ReplyDeleteLove the purple! Your dot-to-dot quilting is looking darn good Anja. I told you 'you could do it' and boy you are doing it great.
ReplyDeleteLove the purple! Looks great. The quilting does a great job accentuating the design. :-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Your quilting is great! I always have a difficult time FMQing straight lines. Your straight line quilting looks great :)
ReplyDeleteooolala! It came out great! I'm sure it will be loved and appreciated.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! And I love seeing it beside those yellow daffodils. I'm sure it will be loved.
ReplyDeleteIt's a beauty.
ReplyDeleteLovely, Anja, and I expect it will be much appreciated in its new home. :)
