Thanks to Val @ Purple Boots and Pigtails for including me in her One Mans Junk. This is what the project looked like when I received it.
And now after my addition.
I added the year to the top border.
And initials in the bottom border.
All my creativity was used in the creation of the numbers and letters. So the side borders are simple -- various lobsters, crabs, fish, and owls. The animals were too cute not to include.
Now Klenck Junk heads to Dominique @ The Running Thimble. Good luck!

** Alert **
I'll be taking a social media vacation for the next week. I've been feeling overwhelmed with creating blog posts and reading all the wonderful blogs I follow -- I can't believe the amount of time spent on the computer. I've decided to spend some time focusing on sewing and getting my WIP's under control.
I like the addition of the date and your initials. The side borders work really well and the fun prints work well there. I completely understand the online break; I hope you enjoy it and make some great progress.
ReplyDeleteLove your border.
ReplyDeleteI quite agree with the blog break. I have one now and again. Although full of inspiration I spend too much time reading blogs than actually sewing. It means then I've got nothing to blog about myself. See you soon xxx
That's a fun project. Your addition looks great :)
ReplyDeleteSquee! How much fun is this thing? What does M stand for?
ReplyDeleteLove that you put the year on there too....
What a great border, Love the date and initials! Enjoy a little break!
ReplyDeleteSo cool! A traveling quilt is on my bucket list to make! I have really been enjoying collaborating on quilts and being a part of a quilt bee.
ReplyDeleteThis is to cool! I love that you added the date and your initials and introduced some added colors to the color palette. It's okay to enjoy a little break every now and again. I know I usually step away from the computer on the weekends to create a little bit of down time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun thing to do adding the date and initials! I don't post as often as I should but I need time for other things too and as you say computer time is huge.
ReplyDeleteCool addition and great use of scraps! Thank you for linking up to #scraptastictuesday!
ReplyDeleteLooks great, Anja! I can hardly wait to see it finished! Have a good break! I break....quite often! I get mot accomplished, too! XO
ReplyDeleteLOVE what you did Anja! A small group of us is starting a mini round robin this month, so this is fun to see what you guys are doing. I wondered where you were, you'd 'gone dark' as Judy at Quilt Paradigm likes to say. Good on ya. I need to as well; it's just overwhelming isn't it... DON'T respond to this. I won't. HA!
ReplyDeleteVery neat! Lovely project that you all have going on. Enjoy your break :) Can't wait to hang out and see you at Glamp!
ReplyDeleteLovely border! I love that you added the year. Enjoy your break! We all need one every once in a while. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed your break, Anja! Your addition to the quilt is fun, especially with all those animals. Adding the year and initials was a great idea.
