The first piecing steps were HST's and four blocks. I love that how Cheryl has broken down the sewing into manageable monthly steps. It definitely keeps you in suspense as to the final design.
I thought I'd play around and lay out the blocks in various designs.
This reminds me of the CBC logo.
This is different, but interesting.

Very nice. October will be here soon.
ReplyDeleteI love your colours, Anja. But, don't I say that every time I leave a comment? I had to giggle when I looked at your second layout (the one with the small red square in the centre)... it reminds me of the old CBC logo (not the same colours, but...)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the next steps.
Thank you for linking-up to The Needle and Thread Network's WIP Wednesday!
I really like your orange and blue together, Anja. They just glow. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd not too late to change (my) mind on the fabric and re-cut! After seeing this month's instructions, I know I won't be 100% happy with what I had tried (2 tone colors in fabrics B, C, and D), so I'm just putting the cut pieces in my scrap bin and picking out new fabrics. There is definitely time for me to catch up and others to join!
That last one is interesting! Wonder what it would like with more blocks - time to whip out EQ!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing on Midweek Makers
The colors you've chosen for your blocks are great! I love all the different layouts.
ReplyDeleteI love your colours too. It will be fun to see how this all turns out.
ReplyDeleteI still have to catch up on this one. I love the different settings you played around with especially the CBC logo. You are right that it looks like that.
ReplyDeleteThis looks awesome! I am behind and have only drawn my diagonal lines on all of my squares. Hoping that I can get through them tonight and tomorrow. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like your last layout, Anja! Now you have me curious... I can't wait to see how the Mystery continues!
ReplyDeleteI really have to get myself further in this process. I haven't started cutting my fabrics yet...maybe this weekend :) I love the layouts!
ReplyDeleteSuch vibrancy! Love that last layout! Enjoy your weekend! XO
ReplyDeleteYes! Love those colors together. And I agree that Cheryl's quilt alongs always move at a nice pace.
ReplyDeleteGreat blocks! I really like the contrast you have between the colors.
