Finish Friday - One Block Wonders Final Link Up

Sandy @ Upstairs Hobby Room has been hosting a monthly block QAL for the past year, called One Block Wonders.

I previously made two blocks, which you can read about below:

And now:  Rainbow Stacks.  I added a wide border so that it finishes around 25-inches for a small baby quilt.

I didn't know how to quilt it, and in desperation, I just went with stippling in a variegated thread.  I'm not happy with the result.  I should have done something different in the blue and grey sections.  Oh well, it's done, and it will keep some baby warm in a car seat or stroller.

I used the following Kona solids:

  • Pepper and Coal
  • Sky, Robin Egg, Jamaica, Lagoon, Pacific, Riveria

I'm linking up with the One Block Wonders Final Link Up:

  2. It turned out absolutely lovely! And I understand not liking it - we are our own worst critics, especially when a quilt is hot off the press! Give it a few days and I'm sure you'll be a bit more forgiving, especially since it is a wonderful little quilt. :)

  3. Sure maybe you could have done something else but I think it turned out great just the way it is.

  5. I think that Angela Walters "finished is better than perfect" quote is good to remember on occasions like this! I am sure whomever is lucky enough to receive the quilt will enjoy its warmth and the love it was made and gifted with.

  6. The gradation of blues makes this quilt so eye catching. When I saw it in my feed I just had to go there.

  13. I think you are being too hard on yourself. There is nothing wrong with a good stipple now and then! :)
