I can't wait for the winter solstice and the gradual transition back to more daylight hours. It is so hard to get decent photos. There was some challenge trying to tape this to the wall in my sewing room. You can see the faint outline of a wall hanging behind it. ☺ I had to move a few things and discovered that the dust bunnies are probably planning a takeover. LOL
I used Kona Ice Frappe, Kale, and Spruce. I have no idea how to quilt this. The final step in the QAL will be released on Friday. Hoping for some quilting suggestions.
I would make this pattern again, but maybe try a different layout.

I love your version of Wayward! Do you have an idea on how you are going to quilt it?
ReplyDeleteI hate the dark in the evening too - I wish for daylight until 7 or 8 at least in the evening
ReplyDeleteDon't know if you're going to like this suggestion, but an even grid on the diagonal would look awesome.
ReplyDeleteI have a suggestion for quilting straight lines in each quadrant in a triangle shape. Does that make any sense at all. I can see it perfectly in my mind...lol
ReplyDeleteI like the triangle idea as well ;)
DeleteUgh. I've been struggling taking photos too! I work and by the time I get home there is no light left. So I sympathize. As for the quilting, it's funny. As soon as I saw this I thought, straight lines radiating out to follow the sides of the triangles. Looks like there are others who are thinking the same thing! Thanks for linking to Wednesday Wait Loss.
ReplyDeleteI keep sticking with straight line quilting to finish my versions of the quilt, Anja. I think that it is going to be really fun to see all the great ideas people share in the FB group for quilting, honestly. :) The quilt top looks fantastic. Thanks for sewing along!
ReplyDeleteLove the greens, might be the Irish in me 😂😂. Great job.
ReplyDeleteLove it Anja! Very striking with the black.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy setting the clocks back and picking up that extra hour of sleep, but I do miss the sunlight in the evenings for picture taking :( This is beautiful! I'm kinda of stuck with how to quilt mine as well. I keep thinking, how can we sneak some curves in here?
ReplyDeleteYour top looks fantastic! I have to finish my top this week - but before I do that, I have to decide on the layout! I know what you mean about the lack of light these days - I have to plan my photos for the weekend because I leave the house in the dark in the morning and come back from work in the dark!! Makes it very difficult to have decent photos!
ReplyDeleteThis looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Anja.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful, Anja! I can't wait to see how you decide to quilt it :)
