The quilt finishes about 41 x 52 inches. It's still difficult to get decent photos, but now that the winter solstice arrived yesterday, the days are slowly getting longer. Spring is on the way!!
These giraffes are so darn cute.
I matched the fabrics to the colours in the baby's room.
This is a great and easy pattern, but a little time consuming sewing the giraffe bodies -- couldn't figure out the best way to chain piece without mixing up the pieces.
I wish you and yours a Merry Christmas. Although the season is about spending time with loved ones, I hope you find some time for sewing -- I know I plan to!! ☺

This is darling, Anja, what a lovely gift to your boss and her grandbaby. I wish you a Merry Christmas and hope you enjoy the time you can carve out at your sewing machine. :) Hooray for the Solstice and spring being on the way!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt! Have a Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt, Anja! I just seen Lorna released a new pattern for a moose! I am totally in love with that one. But there are so many projects to do so I'll wait before buying another pattern. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year :)
ReplyDeleteThese came out wonderful! I love this pattern too.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute Anja! The colours are really nice. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet, Anja, I’ll just bet your friend is over the moon! Happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteThis is so very adorable, Anja! And, wow, I can see how the spots would make it tricky to chain piece - looks like a good time for an in-betweener project to send through between every couple of giraffe portions? I do love all the animal quilts by both Lorna and Elizabeth Hartmann. So much cuteness!!
ReplyDeleteThis is precious! Very sweet and I bet it's a favorite for years to come.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!!!
