This WIP is just a few months old, but I want to cross it off my list. You can read about how it came about here.
There's been a small change. In my attempt to square it up, I accidentally ruined the outer blue/yellow/red border, and I wasn't able to salvage it. I'll have to seek forgiveness from my Bee mate. So I added a three-inch black border. It finishes about 34-inches square.
Here's a close up of the middle section. I love the improv piecing. My plan is to free motion quilt (likely a small stipple) in black thread in all the black sections and not quilt in the coloured sections.
My goal is to quilt and bind this wall hanging by the end of January. I can do it! I will do it!
I love this quilt Anja, it's so vibrant on the black background. Good luck with your goal.
ReplyDeleteWhat a spectacular quilt this is turning into. Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal.
ReplyDeleteWow! Very vibrant, Anja. Can't wait to see how you quilt it!

ReplyDeleteDoing a quilt of jewel tones on a black background is on my "list". In the meantime I'll enjoy seeing you finish yours. It will look gorgeous hanging....anywhere.
