This project was my March OMG and my final goal for Q1 of Finish Along 2017.
I hate having my photo taken, but I knew it was the only way for you to get a good look at the top...so here goes. I finished it on Sunday and then wore it to work on Monday.
Donna was trying to get me to pose, while trying to make me laugh at the same time.
Here's a close up of the top.

Great job on the top, it looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteWell done Anja . Your top looks great .
ReplyDeleteYay! It is beautiful - great job! :-)
ReplyDeleteYour top looks great!
ReplyDeleteLooks great.
ReplyDeleteBravo! It looks beautiful! And so do you! Will you be making more? XO
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
ReplyDeleteAnja, you made a shirt! Hurray for taking that leap. Now it will me much less intimidating I agree- make another one and your self confidence will be even stronger. The washi dress pattern isn't terribly difficult. The small cut out in the neckline is a little bit tricky and so is the shirting across the back. However the directions are very clear. I have made two of them so if you have any questions, email me. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteLove the fabric on this shirt too!
Sorry, I meant the shirring (elastic) across the back.😊
DeleteWhat a great finish! Congrats! The shirt is great and looks terrific on you. I keep looking at the fabric to decide if it is shirred or whether it is the pattern of the fabric. I'm guessing it is the pattern on the fabric. Enjoy wearing your new top and yes, make another while it is fresh in your mind...it'll be so much easier than the first one.
ReplyDeleteYour Isla top turned out great. Awesome job and such a neat knit print. I used to sew more clothes, but it is so hard to fit myself.I need to get back to doing this,as I currently am a "what not to wear" episode. Thanks for linking up with this week's TGIFF.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful top! I looks great on you.
ReplyDeleteWow! That Isla top looks great on you! Congrats on making one :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job on a clothing finish Anja! It looks fantastic on you!
ReplyDeleteIt looks fantastic, Anja! 😊
ReplyDeleteCute as a button. Love that your lipstick matches perfectly with the top. You look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful finish Anja. I'm impressed that you met all your 1st quarter goals. I'm not sure if I'll meet any....I'll have to go back and look at the list.
ReplyDeletevery very pretty
ReplyDeleteYep I get it I hate having my picture taken too;) But your top is so cute, I am glad you shared it. So the hemming of the knits is what scares me! I have sewn lots of t-shirts for kids when they were little and I always put a band on them to solve the problem.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful top and perfect on you! Isn't it funny how we (ahem . . I) put something off, thinking it will be so hard and then find out it wasn't so bad after all? Gotta go cut out (yikes!) that Laurelhurst cardigan for my daughter's wedding in 2 weeks :)
ReplyDeleteLove the top. The colour really suits you.
ReplyDeleteWell done you! Your top looks fabulous. I am sure that it will be the first of a whole new wardrobe :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to New to Me too.
It looks wonderful. Great job.
ReplyDeleteThis turned out beautiful and looks amazing on you! Will we be seeing one in orange?
ReplyDeleteThe top is very flattering on you! Good job sewing knits.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute top, looks nice on you!
ReplyDeleteThis top looks fabulous on you, Anja! Perfect fit and such a fun print. The only thing that surprises me.... Is that it is not (only) orange. But the purple is a flattering colour for you. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteYou did a fantastic job, the top is beautiful! Thank you for linking up on behalf of the 2017 global Finish-A-Long hosts.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great fit. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI hate having my photo taken too. That is why my recent dressmaking attempt was photographed on a hanger.
