Dog Gone Cute - Update 1

If you haven't seen Lorna's newest animal creations, you need to hop on over to Sew Fresh Quilts. I'm participating in the Dog Gone Cute blog hop, and here is my first update on my blocks.

There are two dog sizes and several versions of each.  I decided to start with the large Dog #1.  My Kona dog is made with Chocolate, Pink, White, and Black.  The background is Bluebell.

My next block will be a small Dog #5.  I haven't yet decided what to make with the blocks, so I'm trying both sizes.

It's not too late to join the fun.  Lorna is generously offering tutorials for the blocks, but you can buy the pattern if you want all the information in an easy printer-friendly document.

  5. Make Puppy #3, make puppy #3, make puppy #3. Did you make puppy #3 yet? I think he might be my favorite.

  7. Your first dog block is simply perfect! Who wouldn't love an all Kona pup? And your little one with prints all cut out and ready to go looks adorable too!

  8. Well, I'm going to cave...I was crumbling fast anyhow. Both my dogs need covers for their day cushions, which are the old patio cushions from the set we bought off kijiji 3 years ago. They look hokey. A dog on each of the covers would be perfect, no? I LOVE your chocolate dog. Have to figure out how to make one look like a Rottweiler. They already do look a lot like my pittie, Rocco. :-)
