My new one-month old niece is tiny and doesn't have any cute clothes because everyone bought larger sizes. So I thought I'd try making a dress. The Little Geranium Dress is a free pattern by Made by Rae. I got stumped after I got to this point. But once Jenn @ A Quarter Inch From the Edge showed me what to do, it all made sense.
And voilà...a finished dress.
It's hard to photograph a dress without a model, so I have a book inside it holding it up. I can't imagine what she would need pockets for at this young age, but they are so cute.
Here's the back view. I need to match the thread better next time.

ReplyDeleteSo adorable. I'm glad you pushed ahead with the directions and completed the dress because it really is too cute. I hope that someone takes a photo of her wearing the dress. The pockets are fun, but yeah, just for decoration. Give her a few months and who knows what would go into pockets!!
