I cut into a piece of Island Batik Mermaid Cove. And before too long, there was a baby quilt.
An all-over stipple for a quick finish. I even quilted my name.
I also used the Mermaid Cove for the binding.
I have a lot of WIPs that need to be finished, but this pieced together so quickly and was a mindless project, so I kept going until it was finished.

ReplyDeleteA mindless project can be a blessing and calming! It is a lovely finish!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute finish Anja! I love easy and mindless projects once in a while. :-)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you finished this quilt in the blink of an eye. I was excited when I saw it on Cynthia's blog, but never got farther than filing away the idea in my mind. I love the happy, bright colors and the mermaid batik. Thanks for sharing your quilt and reinforcing the idea that I have to make one of my own.
ReplyDeleteIn my wildest dreams could that lovely stipple be quick! I can do the piecing quickly enough, but the quilting takes me forever . You ended up with a beautiful quilt
ReplyDeleteHooray for a fast finish!!
ReplyDeleteWow, this is awesome! Love the colors! I enjoyed Cynthia's version as well and love your interpretation--it's great with the mermaids! So fun!
ReplyDeleteIts so happy and bright!
ReplyDeleteJealous that you have the half hexie die! But, I will be strong and NOT start anything new for the rest of this month.... hopefully. Great start and finish.
