This quilt top has been waiting since June 2019 while I tried to figure out a quilting plan. I have been enjoying some big stitch hand quilting with perle cotton, so I finally settled on that. I used #EZ03 Silverware perle cotton by Wonderfil. It blended so well, it was hard to photograph.
I am still amazed at how much I have been enjoying big stitch hand quilting. So much so, I just ordered 18 balls Wonderfil perle cotton. 😊
I can't wait to see what Sandra has planned for the 2021 QAL.
This was one of my 2020 PHD projects. PHD is hosted by Gail @ Quilting Gail. I think I have three more projects left to finish, but there's still four more weeks left in 2020.

ReplyDeleteA lovely finish! Your hand quilting looks great. I saw your new perle cotton... I especially love those Alison Glass colors. Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous use of colour. The quilt really glows! Lovely.
ReplyDeleteAnother great finish to a beautiful quilt!
ReplyDeleteIt's awesome to see how many quilts are are able to hand quilt, I always assumed it would be a long process to get a quilt hand quilted but you are turning that notion upside down for me.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly are enjoying the big stitch quilting! And it looks so great!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on another fantastic finish! :-)
This turned out fabulous! I echo what Yvonne said! I see some big stitch quilting in my 2021 future... I love seeing my designs in others’ versions and I’m with you: can’t wait to see what QAL I am/we are doing in 2021 lol though I do have an idea...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finish! You've really been working on that pile of quilt tops haven't you?
ReplyDeleteFantastic colors! I, too, love big stitch hand quilting, but I don't do nearly as much of it as you do. That's a lot of Wonderfil to have on hand. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is really pretty. The thread does blend but it gives it such great texture.
ReplyDeleteVisiting by way of UFO Busting. This is a beautiful quilt! I am seriously thinking of trying big stitch hand quilting. I should make it a goal to try for 2021.
