Stay at Home Round Robin - Round 6

We are on the penultimate (aka second last -- I've always wanted to use that word LOL) week of the Stay at Home Round Robin (SAHRR) hosted by Gail @ Quilting Gail.

Round 6 is being hosted by Susan @ Quilt Fabrication.  Susan choose log cabin for this week's theme.

I decided to be a rebel and combine Rounds 6 and 7 into one border.  I made 6.5-inch quarter log cabin blocks using 1.5-inch strips.

I used Kona: Sassy Pink, Bright Pink, Honeysuckle, Valentine, Pomegranate, Sangria.  These blocks will go in the corners of the final round.  You'll have to check back next week to find out the theme for the final round.

I hope you have been enjoying sewing along with us, or finding some inspiration if you are not participating.

Each week, there will be a linky party hosted by the blogger who designed that week's round.

  1. Anja, I love the red cornerstone log cabin....looking great!

  2. Hi Anja! Oooh, penultimate! Great word and one you can hardly ever sneak into normal, everyday conversation. Love your cute LC blocks. I am doing something similar . . . and they may end up in the corners like yours. OR, they may not. HAHA! Can't wait to see where you end up next week. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

  3. Great idea Anja! And a nice color choice too!

  4. Ohhh, those blocks glow! And penultimate - now I want to use that word! Haha!

  5. Your log cabin corners look wonderful!!! I love the graduation of colour in them!

  6. I love what you've done! Can't wait to see how the log cabins blend in with round 7.

  7. I love the red cornerstones and can't wait to see the finished quilt on Monday.

  8. Penultimate is such a great word! I love how your quilt is looking so far and I'm very curious to see how you incorporate the last border with the log cabin corners :)

  9. This is such a fun project - I love the way it is coming together.

  10. I love your bright pinks!!!! These will make fabulous corners!

  11. Of course you started with an Orange Star :-) Love where this is going. Looking forward to the next round. Have a great weekend!
