I've discovered that if you make the smallest size for a QAL, it's easy to stay on track with the schedule. 😊 The 3-week pace for the Bokeh QAL hosted by Yvonne @ Quilting Jetgirl is enough time to sew, but with a buffer in case life gets in the way.
My colours are Kona Storm, Blueprint, Quicksilver, Chartreuse, and Natural. The first step was flying geese.
Then we moved on to square-in-square blocks and HSTs.
And then there were four blocks.
I was able to use my Betty Crockerass templates to do the curved piecing.
It didn't take long to piece the four curves to create the the inset curved star.
Time to decide on a quilting plan and thread colour.

The smallest size doesn't always make sense, but it's what I opted to sew along with this time as well. The inset curve stars are pretty fun and addictive, I think. Your quilt came together beautifully and I look forward to seeing how you choose to quilt and finish it. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The inset star looks great!

ReplyDeleteWell done on your finish. Those curved templates look pretty neat. I might have to think about buying a set.

ReplyDeleteI can generally count on your to make bold choices with your quilts, Anja. LOVE this one!! It does not disappoint.
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome Anja! I made the lap size but too much of a chicken to try the curves. LOL
ReplyDeleteI love it! Greens and blues together are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful! Kudos for staying up with the quilt along. Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely quilt top! I may take your advice next time and stick to the smaller one because I am still not done with my quilt top.
