I started my blog late on a Friday night in an attempt to win a prize. Adrienne @ Chezzetcook Modern Quilts was hosting The Library Project. My first post was pretty bad -- not a photo to be seen.
My friend Jenn @ A Quarter Inch from the Edge had been encouraging me to start a blog. But I didn't know what I would say in a blog and didn't think that anyone would read it. I am so very glad that Jenn continued with the encouragement and that I finally accepted the challenge. I have met so many wonderful people and have learned so much.

Since I can't figure out a way to have everyone send me an anniversary gift J, I'm having a giveaway instead.
Dot Dot Dash Mini Charms |
How to Win:
Leave a comment indicating what you would send me for an anniversary gift. Virtual gifts will be just as fun. A winner will be selected randomly at 8:00 a.m. Atlantic on Sunday, February 28, 2016. The giveaway is open internationally. If you are a no-reply blogger, make sure you leave your e-mail address in your comment; otherwise, another winner will be selected.
Here's to many more years of fun and adventure.
Congratulations on your blogiversary! I would knit you a pair of socks in your favourite colour as a pressie. I'm an Aussie quilter and knitter living in North Carolina and in Australia, I would knit accessories such as hats, gloves and fingerless gloves for fun. Not any more! I have a new appreciation for hand knits and the socks would help you keep out the winter cold.....and prevent possible frostbitten toes!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to say that the yarn would be some beautiful orange hand dyed that's been sitting in my stash waiting for the perfect project!
DeleteThanks, Sue. Awesome gift!!! And I'm always cold here in Nova Scotia. You're a non-reply blogger in case you didn't know.
DeleteHmmm... what would I send you? Well, since I could pretty much drop it off at your door, I'm not limited by the usual postal troubles. Perhaps a housekeeper? She could wear an orange uniform and keep your house in tip top shape - allowing you to have more time for sewing. And she could bring you tasty meals at your sewing machine. How's that for a blogoversary present?
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary!!! I'm not sure what awesome gift I could give to you to celebrate this momentous occasion... How about if you check my etsy store and choose a teapot cozy, here's the link: https://www.etsy.com/shop/FiresideQuiltStudio
ReplyDeletemaybe a one hour basket to hold things , thanks
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary. I would send you a pair of bright orange, running shoes (unless of course you already have a pair, then they'd be lime green). Then you could finish your runs and still be able to run from the ironing board to the sewing machine and finish even more quilts.
ReplyDeleteI would send you 2 yards of Kona in the colour of your choice. I would send the newest colour, highlight, but not sure I can find any. I may also just drop in to say hi. We are planing a trip home in September.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...decisions, decisions! My first thoughts were 'something orange' and 'KONA, DUH!' Hahahaha! Congrats on the blogiversary! I'm so glad Jenn kept at you to be a blogger, I always enjoy seeing your projects. :)
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BLOGIVERSARY If I could I would give you a week with Sylvia, Sarah and the ladies of Elm Creek for the retreat of a lifetime. (Jennifer Chiaverini Novels)
ReplyDeleteAwesome gift!! Thanks for the reminder. I started reading this series a few years ago, but got sidetracked. You are a no-reply blogger so I can't send you an e-mail.
DeleteI would send you something orange. Reading from the above comments, that is really not original. Maybe a big bag of orange scraps?
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary! Well just a guess on what you like, but a FQ bundle of kona and jaybirds newest pattern. You could dig into in on the next retreat.
ReplyDeleteAnja, Happy Blogaversary! A star was born on the day you gave in and finally decided blogging! I would send you a fat quarter bundle of any Kona fabrics of your choice to add to your stash. Have a wonderful week! XO
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary.. I would send you some orange charm squares.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogaversary!!! I'm not sure anyone can compete with Jenn's gift :) but how about a money tree and time in a bottle. We can always use an unending money supply to buy more fabric with and you could stop working and travel to all kinds of quilty places. (of course I would hope maybe you could sneak down here and have a sew day with me) And time in a bottle...think of all the things you could make with all the extra time :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!
ReplyDeleteI'd send you more time to sew because that's what I'd love to receive!
Happy Blogaversary! I love that you started your blog to try to win a prize! I'd send you fabric, lots and lots of fabric, plus extra hours for your days so you have more time to sew :)
ReplyDeleteWow! Two years! Happy Blogaversary! Ah the Library Project was such a fun link up. I do miss that one. The prizes were fun but just linking up was so much fun for me. Kept me motivated :) Now to get back to you. If I could send you one gift, it would be a FQ bundle with Orange, Yellow, Girl guide, and Red prints and name it Anja's bundle :)
ReplyDeleteTwo years, way to go! I would give you a fat quarter, no wait, a half yard of every Kona color you are missing on your "I Love Kona" list.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary my friend! I would send you a fabric club membership! I am loving mine. So glad you started up your blog and that we met. I'll toast you at supper tonight...hey I'd also send you a bottle of Pelee Island wine. ;-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. I would send you a quilt that I made just for you with lots of orange fabrics. Then you can cuddle up with the quilt and keep you warm.
ReplyDeleteI bought two things last year that every quilter -including you - should have: a Hera marker & a Bloc Loc ruler for flying geese. These would make a great gift for you. annesimonot@sasktel.net
