WIP Wednesday - Fat Quarter Frenzy

This was another quilt kit I purchased from my LQS that I forgot about.  I think I purchased the kit because the fat quarters were so bright and colourful.  But once I started cutting and piecing the blocks, I couldn't for the life of me remember why I purchased the kit.  The pattern is so bizarre and doesn't suit the bold prints.

So I quickly decided to make two baby quilts instead of one large quilt and just pieced the blocks the best I could.

These two will end up at our local children's hospital.

  9. All those bright colors will definitely brighten up a child's day. Isn't it funny how we forget why we bought something? But what you are going to use them for, is such a great cause.

  12. That would make one crazy large quilt. It's much better as two bright little ones for kids. I'm impressed at how you are motoring through your stash.

  16. It is a good simple pattern to use the bold prints and the quilts will be much appreciated by the kids.
Kits are funny like that. I have only ever bought one. I loved it when I ordered it, but it was not as much fun to make as if I had agonised over the fabrics myself.
