TGIFF - Town Square Block

Today's finish is a result of the squirrels.  I saw a quilt block online and decided I had to make it.  This is Town Square by the Missouri Star Quilt Company, and you can get the tutorial here.

It's an easy block using 2.5-inch strips and 6.5-inch blocks.  A great way to use up scraps in your stash.

The block finishes at 18 inches.  I used a variegated thread for the quilting.

A quick pillow that can be used for a gift or to brighten a room.

Next week, I'll be linking up with Sandra @ Musings of a Menopausal Melon for her monthly DREAMI (Drop Everything and Make It) link up.

If you have a finish this week, consider sharing it at:

  1. Wow! This really pops! Great choice for fabrics! Making a few blocks could make a really neat baby quilt.

  2. Those pesky squirrels. They are so distracting. That sounds like the link-up for me!
At least this was a quick and instant finish. The combination of aqua and orange is fabulous.

  4. Nice pillow. I love how the photos show how much the quilting changes and adds to the block.

  5. This is really nice! I love the colour combo! I’ve been pretty good at avoiding the squirrels so far this year, but sometimes, they are really, really hard to resist! :-)

  9. Oh Anja this is just the BEST! I just love it and I'm so happy you will be linking up next Saturday with DrEAMi because I am going to chase this squirrel too, and I really really should not be.... So bright happy, so summer, blue skies, cerulean waters and creamsicles....
(am I glad I copied my comment before publishing, how weird it had me logged out, unknown and the original comment went into the ether! So annoying, but I beat it this time ha!)
