The blocks didn't take long with some chain piecing.
I love the low volume print I used. Why didn't I buy more??
And voilà....a finished quilt top. This is the crib size -- 40 x 52 inches.
Quilting begins March 1 for the QAL. That gives me lots of time to find a backing fabric.

ReplyDeleteOH I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteglad you have some bloomin' flowers in all that snow!
ReplyDeleteYou say blooming, I say dancing. You say flowers, I say triangles. But we both agree that it is lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteOh this looks so great! And you're right! That background is a perfect! And perfect for so many things. I can't believe how many QAL's and blog hops and just events you are involved in. How do you get it all done?
ReplyDeleteNice one Anja!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Anja! I look forward to seeing how you quilt it. Here's a thought: What about binding the quilt in the same deep blue you used in the background?
ReplyDeleteYour quilt looks so good! I really like the blue background. I've been playing with the idea of different background colors lately, and I'm intrigued by the possibilities.
ReplyDeleteThat low volume print sure is fun! And it's a perfect compliment for the solids you chose for this pattern. Thanks for sharing your journey with this quilt along on Wednesday Wait Loss! Can't wait to see the backing you choose, and the quilting! This is fun.
ReplyDeleteWe carry this fabric collection in the shop where I work--Always in Stitches. They have an online store if you want to purchase any fabric from the collectin for your backing.
What an interesting design! LOVE the dark blue background with the contrast of the lights and brights. Happy quilting!
ReplyDeleteWhat a simple but effective design. I hadn’t seen it or the QAL, but I am so out of the loop these days. :(
ReplyDeleteI’m off to check it out properly. Better late than never.
