OMG Finish

My February OMG goal was to finish two quilts.  They are done!

I quilted the first quilt in an all-over loopy motif in white thread.

The quilting blended in with most of the fabric, but pops on the black fabrics.

I attempted something new...following the lead of Sandra @ Musings of a Menopausal Melon...quilted my name on the edge of the quilt.  It worked!

I did a flower motif on the second quilt.  And again, the white thread blended.

I need some more practice before I can say I'm comfortable with this new motif, but I'm happy with it.

This was also one of my FAL 2019 Q1 goals.

If you have a finish this week, here are some ways to share:

  6. Nice job finished both quilts. The quilting looks great and fun to add your name on the quilt.

  7. I love the color pops in this. And your Island Batiks mini on the prior post is fabulous!

  8. I love the loops and flowers in the quilting design. They are going to give such great texture to the quilt when it is washed.

  9. Hi Anja, congrats on your two finishes. They both look great. Loops and flowers are quick and effective motifs for FMQ. Thanks for linking up to Free Motion Quilting!

  10. They look great! I love the added interest in the black blocks from the white quilting thread. And your fmq looks great to me :)

  11. Both great quilts, and I love your looping the loop. Your loops seem to flow well, no jagged edges the way I get !

  12. Love the black and white with the color pops! On behalf of the FAL crew, thanks for joining in!
