WIP Wednesday - Blooming Wallflowers Update

Things are progressing for the Blooming Wallflowers QAL.  The QAL is being hosted by Christa @ Christa Quilts.

The blocks didn't take long with some chain piecing.

I love the low volume print I used.  Why didn't I buy more??

And voilà....a finished quilt top.  This is the crib size -- 40 x 52 inches.

Quilting begins March 1 for the QAL.  That gives me lots of time to find a backing fabric.

  5. Beautiful, Anja! I look forward to seeing how you quilt it. Here's a thought: What about binding the quilt in the same deep blue you used in the background?

  6. Your quilt looks so good! I really like the blue background. I've been playing with the idea of different background colors lately, and I'm intrigued by the possibilities.

  7. That low volume print sure is fun! And it's a perfect compliment for the solids you chose for this pattern. Thanks for sharing your journey with this quilt along on Wednesday Wait Loss! Can't wait to see the backing you choose, and the quilting! This is fun.

We carry this fabric collection in the shop where I work--Always in Stitches. They have an online store if you want to purchase any fabric from the collectin for your backing.

  9. What a simple but effective design. I hadn’t seen it or the QAL, but I am so out of the loop these days. :(
I’m off to check it out properly. Better late than never.
