My April OMG goal was to quilt my two Meadowland quilts and to make matching pillows. I started writing this post hours ago but got sidetracked in my sewing room, but the great thing about being on the east coast is that you always have a few hours grace for midnight deadlines. LOL
These two quilts will be going to my nieces.
They are 48 inches squares. I wish I had another one of these FQ bundles, True Colours by Joel Dewberry -- it's a great collection.
Quilting is an all-over loopy stipple in light pink thread. It blended so well with all the prints. I used Kona Baby Pink for the binding.
Here's the second quilt.
This QAL was fun.
You can get the Meadowland pattern over at Then Came June.
Here are the matching pillows I finished last week.
These are also one of my FAL 2019 Q2 goals.
You are nailing having 2 of each made for your nieces right now. The quilts look great and I bet they will get a lot of use, play, and love. :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on achieving your finishes! These are such pretty quilts and the matching pillows are really lovely as well.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the double finishes.
ReplyDeleteThese are both so lovely! The colors and prints are just so fun for little girlies. :D
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful! Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and congrats on your finish.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your finishes, they are beautiful
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely quilts Anja! I hope your nieces love them and are warmed by them and your generosity!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilts
ReplyDeleteThese turned out beautifully. I am sure your nieces will love them and since they are so similar, I hope there will be no fights about - yours is nicer (or better/prettier) etc. Trust me, sibling rivalry is real. I do have some of that fabric but just petting for now :-)
ReplyDeleteSo cute!!! They will be so treasured!!
ReplyDeleteThose are super for your nieces. I love that they co-ordinate but are still unique for each girl.
