Another UFO Finish - 2020 Summer Sampler

And yet another UFO finish from the Christmas break.  This was the Summer Sampler 2020 hosted by Swim Bike QuiltLee Heinrich, and Fresh Lemon Quilts

I was rebel and skipped the fancy sashing as noted in the pattern.

This finishes 60 x 60 inches.  There were a lot of Kona:  Orchid, Silver, Snow, Breakers, Aqua, Berry, Cactus, Acid Lime, Violet, Caribbean, Turquoise, Peapod, Bonsai, Summer Pear, Honey Dew, Sangria, Celestial, Crimson, Peony, and Ballerina.

I quilted an all-over stipple.

I enjoyed the various techniques, but I've discovered that I don't like weekly QALs.  It's too easy to fall behind.

  1. Weekly QALs are definitely intense. Congratulations on another great finish!

  2. Nice! The Kona you went with for the binding is stunning - can you tell me what it is? And I love the backing fabric you chose. I agree with you on the weekly QAL. I’m in two QALs right now and both are monthly - much more manageable.

  3. Another wonderful finish! I now I would fall behind for sure if I tried to do a weekly QAL.

  5. WOW! You are slaying me with all your finishes...great job doing the catch up work. I tend not to have tops laying around...kind of an unspoken rule. You have just done fabulously getting these all done.

  6. Beautiful finish! I like the way the quilt looks without the "fancy" sashing. I agree that weekly QALs are difficult to keep up with.
