WIP Wednesday - Meadow Mystery QAL

A finished quilt top -- my Meadow Mystery.  The QAL hosted by Cheryl @ Meadow Mist Designs has been ongoing since last summer, and the final piecing instructions were released last week.

I have a confession to make.  I've been calling the green fabric Chartreuse since the beginning of this QAL.  I was wrong...it's actually Cactus.  How did I make that mistake?  Don't tell Robert Kaufman -- don't want to lose my Kona Nerd Badass status.

I had hoped to add a border or two -- this finishes around 61 inches -- but I don't have enough fabric.  I was working from my stash, but I do have enough Cactus to do the binding.

Now to make a plan for the quilting.

Yours is very pretty and I'd call that green chartuse before I'd call it cactus too! It looks more like the first than the second but I won't tell either! I didn't have enough fabrics to do borders either, oh well live and learn. Hopefully the next time we will both have enough to add borders.

This is so lovely! Too bad you ran out if fabric. But I find Kona is remarkably consistent. Could you buy more fabric fur the borders? Or are you just ready to get it done? That I get. Can't wait to see the finish.

I am anxious to get mine together, too! Although mine is probably my least favorite of all I've seen, it is still a really fun quilt! Yours is gorgeous!! Can't wait to see how you quilt it!

Very nice! Despite being a Kona lover, I must confess I can't keep the names straight. Lol. Interested in seeing how you quilt this one! 😊

I meant to add how much I love that chartreuse or cactus or whatever you call it. Yum! This quilt is so lovely.

No fabric scraps whatsoever to use with white for borders? What about a print that has some of the colors in the quilt? But even if none of those ideas works out, it's a beautiful quilt as it is! Thank you for sharing on Midweek Makers

I've been crushing on all the fabrics you picked out ever since we started this mystery quilt, so now I can crush on the quilt top. It all came together really nicely.

Love your colour choices. I started sewing my top together last night and I'm also debating a border.
